Background
This was a self initiated project aimed at improving the onboarding experience for new users of the app. I set out to explore how we might better guide users in setting up their accounts and tailor their experience from the very beginning before they fully dive into the product.
The goal was to surface key features and value upfront, helping users understand what the app could offer and encouraging early engagement by aligning the experience with their interests and needs.

Approach
To help first-time users unlock the full value of the app from the start, I began by identifying key opportunities to simplify and personalize the onboarding journey. The redesigned flow introduced lightweight prompts that helped users:
Customize their navigation
Set up notifications for topics and shows they care about most
Subscribe to newsletters that matched their financial goals
Create their first watchlist, enabling real-time updates and curated content for companies and symbols they already follow.
